Bill Gates seemed not too excited while talking about cryptocurrency today. His opinion was “It is useless.” The ex-Microsoft supremo said in an interview with the New York Times that it is a plating for people having high IQ. But sadly, they are also pulling themselves into investing in crypto.
Where is he getting at?
Bill Gates said that he is not against crypto or any Ajay digital assets that people are using to make money. All he stands for is not diving blindfolded into wildly popular investment options at the moment. He rather wants people and wants them to “watch out” before investing.
It seems his take on cryptocurrency is pretty clear. The New York Times journalist asked him about his perceptions of crypto coins.
In recent months, Bitcoin has surely seen an excruciating growth in value. However, Bill Gates is not convinced. The man with a net worth of more than $165 billion said he won’t be investing in it.
But other people in his periphery are not living up to what he feels. A lot of influencers and investors are onboard and ready to place their bets on crypto. Especially President Donald Trump’s pointed move of launching his crypto coin $TRUMP prompted a lot of influencers to follow in his footsteps.
Experts feel that President Trump is going all out with his move about crypto. Following him, his wife also released $MELAMIA, a crypt by her name.
Legacy of Gates’ anti-crypto comments
Bill Gates has also spoken against cryptocurrency investments in the past. In 2021 he had a viral interview with Bloomberg. Back then, he was not averse to Bitcoin. He believed that tech giant Elon Musk-backed tokens would not randomly move up or down. So, people could safely invest there.
But he was always pressing people to be alert about the matter. According to him, people might get carried away in these investment manias and spend as much money that they could not spare to lose at the moment.
Bitcoin was a hit. What now?
Last year Bitcoin touched an all-time high record. However, experts expressed concern about its future. Glen Goodman, author of the book The Crypto Trader projected that Bitcoin could reach a peak value of $120,000 bhai in January 2025. It seems that his projection was not out of place.
But the bullish Bitcoin market might also mean that the token is going much above a theoretically red line. The expected trend is all right. But Aslam in value can follow anytime soon. So it might be the right time to sell.
This is the kind of move that Bill Gates is talking about. He urges people not to become caught in the dream of making overwhelming money. Instead, a good trader should know when to buy and sell. Often, hogging you are tokens may result in a characteristic downturn.
You may have seen price collections of a lot of tokens in the recent 4 to 5 months. Who says such a fate is not awaiting Bitcoin?
Bill Gates’ advice for trailers
Bill Gates understood that the crypto investment trend wouldn’t fade out, even if he strictly warned people. That could mean people would need really good advice to stay alert. That’s why he wanted people to adhere to the basics.
Yesterday he said that just keep an eye open and buy when prices start to rise and simply sell out when prices are about to go down. After all, no one knows exactly what is going to happen, no matter how much of an expert they are!
