The Maxwell hardfork follows last year’s successful Lorentz upgrade, which had already cut block times in half, from 3 seconds to 1.5 seconds. This next step is expected to enhance the user experience significantly by delivering near-instant transaction finality, a feature particularly important for decentralized exchanges (DEXs), high-frequency trading, and dApp responsiveness.
