    Crypto Price Update September 17: BTC Maintains $58K, ETH and Major Altcoins Show Mixed Patterns

    The crypto prices have exhibited mixed trading patterns today with the crypto heat map showing both green and red trading movements. While investors continue to eye a potential rally, the prices of the coins tell a different story, casting doubt among participants and further fueling the negative sentiment across the market. Per CoinMarketCap data, the total market cap is down by 0.37% to $2.04 trillion.

    Additionally, the crypto fear and greed index reflects growing ‘fear’ among investors. According to Alternative data, the metric points to ’33,’ down 6 points from yesterday’s ’39.’ This decline underscores the growing lack of confidence in the future trajectory of the market. An overview of the current market and how the top coins have reacted in the last 24 hours is presented below.

    Top Crypto Prices Today

    The flagship cryptocurrency Bitcoin, has consolidated between $58,000 and $59,000 in the last 24 hours. According to on-chain data, the price of BTC traded at $58,837 at the time of writing, representing a 0.05% uptick over the last day. Moreover, the trading volume within this time witnessed an uptrend of 5.72% indicating increasing network activities. Notably, BTC ETFs recorded a $12.90 million daily total inflow per Soso Value data.

    Earlier today, Coinfomania reported that leading corporate Bitcoin holder, MicroStrategy, announced its plan to secure more Bitcoins by offering $700 million in senior convertible notes. The company currently holds 244,800 BTC, valued at approximately $14.4 billion.

    Leading the altcoins, the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap, Ethereum has also spiked in the last 24 hours. At press time, the price of ETH saw an increase of 0.56% to trade at $2,309. Notably, Ethereum has moved between the range of $2,266.64 and $2,313.51 in the last 24 hours. Its ETF saw $9.51 million in outflows as of September 16.

    Other Altcoin Prices

    Solana increased by 1.25% to change hands at $132.55. Additionally, the price of Solana touched the bottoms and tops of $129.19 and $132.89 respectively in the last 24 hours.

    The price of XRP recorded a jumped 2.85% to rest at $0.5868 at the time of publication. Its 24-hour bottoms and tops were recorded at $0.5643 and $0.5904 respectively. 

    Binance Coin (BNB) dipped by 0.84% to trade at $540.32 and maintained a 24-hour range of $528.37 and $548.37 respectively. TRX however, saw gains in the last 24 hours. The coin spiked 0.81% to change hands at $0.1501 with 24-hour lows and highs of $0.1479 and $0.1504 respectively.

    The Telegram-based Toncoin (TON) reduced by 0.46% to touch $5.47 with a respective 24-hour trading range of $5.38 and $5.55.

    The memecoin market has seen varied movements in the last 24 hours. Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB), the two fronts memecoins both dropped and increased within this time. While DOGE lost 0.70%, SHIB added 0.73%. As a result, DOGE and SHIB traded at $0.1009 and $0.00001333 respectively.

    Baby Doge Coin (1MBABYDOGE) surged 28.70% to $0.001912

    Saga (SAGA) jumped by 15.90% to reach $1.8198

    Neiro (NEIRO) gained 14.59% to $0.000388950

    Nuls (NULS) moved up by 12.03% to $0.3734

    Fantom (FTM) added 9.99% to $0.5633
